Exodus 8:1 (NKJV)

The History

In 1991, Brenda Carter heard the voice of the Lord and He said Exodus. As she prayed and meditated, the Lord said 8. Brenda Carter began to study the book of Exodus.  After a time, the Lord showed her that it was time for her to renew her commitment and to serve Him. As she continued to study, she found that 8 was the number of new beginnings. The Lord had begun her deliverance and recommitment.

Brenda Carter understood that she needed to be in a place where she could grow and be taught the things of God. She asked several people about their churches and began her search. A friend invited her to fellowship with her at her church but unable to find the place she was trying to locate, Brenda drove until she looked up and saw "Trinity" Mt. Carmel (TMC).  In 1992, she became a member and remains a member today under the leadership of Pastor Charles M. Roach.  In 2000, Brenda Carter was ordained into the five-fold ministry.

The Lord began to lead others to her so that she could minister deliverance just as He had delivered her. This was the beginning of Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries.  In 2003, the vision of Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries was made clear.  Brenda Carter with Gwen Person, Dwight Johnson, Rashonda Kelly, Jamesella Jones and Pauletta West launched "Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries", based on Exodus 8:1, "Let My people go that they may serve Me".  On September 8, 2007, Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries and many volunteers went to Carr Square Village and ministered to the residents.  Approximately 75 people were fed, and 100 bags of school supplies were given away. On January 8, 2008, the radio ministry, "Run to the Water”, began on KXEN, 1010 AM at 7:45PM every Tuesday.

In 2010, Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries, Inc. received its 501 (c) 3 designation.  Exodus 8 Outreach Ministries, Inc. has provided food, clothing, utility and housing assistance and started a prisoner re-entry program as they fulfill their call to "minister health and wholeness to the total man, body, soul and spirit."
